One of the highlights of World of Bluegrass week is the College Bluegrass Band Showcase on Friday and Saturday night. Don’t miss these sets, as well as the Bluegrass College Info Session on Saturday afternoon. The showcase takes place on the Martin Street/J.A.M. stage this year, in downtown Raleigh, NC.

6:30-11 p.m. – Bluegrass College Band Showcase (Martin Street/J.A.M. Stage)
6:30-7 p.m. – Warren Wilson College Bluegrass Band, directed by Ben Krakauer (Swannanoa, NC)
7:30-8 p.m. – East Tennessee State University Bluegrass Pride Band, directed by Dan Boner (Johnson City, TN)
8:30-9 p.m. – Berklee College of Music Women and Non-Binary People in Roots Ensemble, directed by Tony Watt (Boston, MA)
9:30-10 p.m. – Colorado College Bluegrass Ensemble, directed by Keith Reed (Colorado Springs, CO)
10:30-11 p.m. – Morehead University Mountain Music Ambassadors, directed by Daxson Lewis and Ruth McLain (Morehead, KY)
Saturday, September 28
1-2:30 p.m. – Bluegrass College Info Session (Raleigh Convention Center, #306) Moderator: Trisha Tubbs. High school students and their parents are invited to hear about bluegrass degree and ensemble programs from several colleges, with a live performance from each student band present. Educators and students from most of the 10 college band programs listed below will be present.
