Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between the IBMA Foundation, IBMA, and The IBMA Trust Fund?

The IBMA Foundation (where you are now) is focused on the future. We support programs and initiatives fostering the growth of bluegrass music through charitable giving. The International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) is a non-profit music association that connects, educates, and empowers bluegrass professionals and enthusiasts, honoring tradition and encouraging innovation in the bluegrass community worldwide. The IBMA Trust Fund assists those in the bluegrass community in times of emergency need.

Are the IBMA Foundation, the IBMA Trust Fund, and the IBMA all the same organization?

No. We are three separate sister organizations with different missions, boards, and staff. The IBMA’s board elects board members of the other two entities.

How can I make a donation to the IBMA Foundation?
