Blue Highway Fest raises funds for IBMA Foundation

Jan 1, 2025 | News

Our hearty thanks is extended to the members of Blue Highway, luthier Rufus Thames; the staff of Blue Highway Fest; the city of Big Stone Gap, Virginia; and raffle ticket purchasers for a donation of $2,007 to the IBMA Foundation raised by a guitar raffle at the October, 2024 event.

The combined raffle of a guitar, a banjo, and a fiddle also raised $4,177 for the Appalachia Service Project, an organization that is rebuilding and repairing houses for those who lost their homes in Hurricane Helene (https://asphome.org/).

Roam Gunn of Austin, Texas, was the lucky winner of the Rufus Thames guitar that was raffled off to benefit the IBMA Foundation and Hurricane Helene victims.
