Fletcher Bright grant recipient Josh Wills is a quadruple-threat musician with impressive chops on guitar, mandolin, banjo, and fiddle. He is pictured above on fiddle with his instructor, Bruce Molsky. Josh said, “This camp is the only one that I know of that aims to bring in great fiddlers of old-time tradition. I think we’re going through another season of failing to pass down our music heritage to the upcoming generations. I enjoy old-time so much, and the community part of it is what it’s all about. It was a dream to meet and play with Molsky, but there were tons of amazing fiddlers to learn different genres from, too. Thanks for the help!”
Josh used his 2024 Bright grant to attend the Live Oak Fiddle Camp in Hallettsville, Texas, and he has been invited back for 2025.
