College partners, save these dates for World of Bluegrass 2026!

May 8, 2026 | News

We are looking forward to a busy World of Bluegrass week, from our exhibit booth to the Biscuits for Bluegrass fundraiser. Above all, we are proud to highlight the future of the genre by showcasing talented college students, bands, and emerging leaders on stage and in the community

Save the dates, as the IBMA Foundation is planning a full suite of activities across Friday, October 23rd and Saturday, October 24th, 2026 to engage our college students and partners.

Activities will include,

  • A luncheon for College Bluegrass Educators, connecting educators who teach bluegrass music on the college/ university level.
  • College Bluegrass Band Reception an evening pizza and jam opportunity for college students
  • Bluegrass College Info Session High school students and families: Learn about college and university programs, degrees, bands and ensembles, scholarships, and more! University reps and bluegrass students will be on hand to answer your questions and play some music too!
  • And notably, the Bluegrass College Band Showcase, where the Foundation hosts a showcase of college bluegrass bands from across the country on Friday and Saturday on their own stage.

Save these dates (Friday, October 23rd and Saturday, October 24th, 2026) and stay tuned for further updates. All members of our The Bluegrass Music Higher Education Database will be contacted about these activities.
