The IBMA Foundation will be participating in the Big PayBack, the annual giving day hosted by The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee for Middle Tennessee donors (and beyond) to give back to nonprofits. During the past seven years the Big Payback has generated nearly $21 million from a total of 147,642 donations for more than 1,000 nonprofits, schools, and religious institutions. This 24-hour online giving event helps organizations – like the IBMA Foundation  – raise funds and bring awareness to pressing needs. The fun starts at 6:00 p.m. on May 5 and continues until 6:00 p.m. on May 6. “As a Tennessee-based nonprofit organization, the IBMA Foundation is excited to participate,” said IBMA foundation executive director Nancy Cardwell. “Our active collaboration with the Community Foundation is helping to fund Foundation-hosted college scholarships through agency endowment funds, and we received a $1,900 grant this year to present a bluegrass music workshop in Bell Buckle, Tennessee on April 17 for teachers, home schooling parents, and youth group leaders. We’re happy to work with our partners at CFMT as a part of the Big PayBack, which raises funds for 880 good causes based in the Volunteer State.”

In 2021, the IBMA Foundation is setting our sights on raising $1,000 or more during the giving day. Let’s come together online at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, May 5-6 and give to the organizations that help make Middle Tennessee a place the IBMA Foundation is proud to call home.
