The IBMA Foundation Board of Directors is pleased to announce the addition of one new and four returning members for a three-year term beginning July 1, 2023: Laurie Greenberg, Michael Hall, Arthur Hancock IV, Peter Salovey, and Wendy Tyner.

Our slate of officers will remain the same for another year: president/chair Fred Bartenstein, vice-chair Alan Tompkins, secretary Ruth McLain, and treasurer Wendy Tyner.

Laurie Greenberg is a retired senior multimedia advertising sales executive who spent much of her career leading national and regional sales teams, primarily at ESPN. She was a trailblazer for women in sports media starting at Raycom Sports, where she rose to the position of Vice President, National Sales. Ms. Greenberg spent half a dozen years in media buying at several advertising agencies, including McCann Erickson during the ill-fated introduction of the New Coke brand. She was highly regarded for her success in motivating, mentoring, and inspiring individuals to achieve their highest potential.

Laurie has served as the chair of Ithaca College’s Park School of Communications alumni board, and she is a past president and board member of Ramapo for Children, an organization for special needs children providing direct youth service and training programs for adults.

Greenberg is a former chair of IBMA’s Leadership Bluegrass Alumni group and for the past three years, along with Kissy Black (Lotos Nile, Nashville), has headed up the Strings for Dreams Bluegrass Raffle, which has raised more than $60,000 for the IBMA Foundation. A passionate ambassador for bluegrass music, Laurie is an active volunteer at several major bluegrass festivals and an avid traveler.
